13. Configuration and Monitoring

In this chapter, we discuss the configuration of the OSPF software. Configuration is accomplished through the OSPF::cfgXXX() entry points. A separate entry point is provided for each of the major configurable data structures in the implementation, which roughly correspond to tables in the standard OSPF MIB [5]: global OSPF parameters, OSPF areas, area aggregates, interfaces, advertised host addresses, virtual links, cryptographic authentication keys, neighbors, and imported external routing information.
