4. Porting Guide

This chapter provides information enabling you to port the OSPF code to various enviroments. Section 4.1 gives an overview of the main porting tasks. The system interface routines that must be written are the subject of Section 4.2. They provide the OSPF application with such basic functions as packet transmission, joining and leaving multicast groups, and so on. The Application Programming Interface (API)—the entry points into the OSPF code—are described in Section 4.3.
