Open and Close Contacts

OS X includes the Contacts application to enable you to manage information about the people you know, whether they are colleagues, friends, or family members. The Contacts app refers to these people as contacts, and you store each person’s data in an object called a card.

Before you can add or work with your contacts, you must know how to start the Contacts application. When you are finished with Contacts, you should close it to reduce desktop clutter and save system resources.
