Setting the Server to Autorestart

If you want your server to get back up and running after a power failure or a system freeze, you can tell Mac OS X Server to start up automatically:

1. While logged in to the server Mac as an administrator, open System Preferences.

2. Click the Energy Saver icon.

3. Select the Restart Automatically After a Power Failure check box, or the Restart Automatically If the Computer Freezes check box, or both.

For the second setting, the power management hardware restarts five minutes after a kernel panic or a freeze.
