Running Mountain Lion from the Command Line

One of the things that I try to do in this book is spare you from typing commands. But the fact remains that you can do just about everything in this book — and much more — with commands in a Unix shell, Terminal, which you can find in /Applications/Utilities.

Apple offers a 300-page Command-Line Administration PDF reference at www.apple.com/server/macosx/resources/documentation.html. If you know your way around a Unix shell, you’ll find it all in Apple’s PDF.
