Walking around your office installing OS X on computers can easily consume your day — or week. And having multiple Macs all downloading 4GB copies of OS X over the Internet can quickly eat up your network bandwidth.

No problem. Have Mountain Lion Server deploy the operating system for you. Using System Image Utility, you can implement three features of OS X Server — NetBoot, NetInstall, and NetRestore — to move the operating system over the network to the client Macs. Each tool automatically deploys the OS in a different way and for a different purpose. All three tools start with using System Image Utility to create a system image — a prototype installation that will be used across your network. You can even customize the image with your own settings.
