To a large degree, Mountain Lion Server’s Calendar Server (formerly known as iCal Server) replicates the calendar of Apple’s iCloud service. As with iCloud, when a user adds an item to a calendar, it appears on the user’s iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Calendar Server enables users to share calendars and to-do lists, invite people to events, and include attachments. When scheduling an event, a user can check whether the people invited are available.
