Notes

As part of Apple’s efforts to enhance interactivity between Macs running OS X and iOS devices such as iPhones and iPads, it created OS X versions of two apps already available on iOS: Reminders and Notes.

Reminders functionality already existed in iCal (now Calendar, covered in Chapter 21), but it lacked the ability to sync to-do items between your Mac and your iPhone or iPad. Similarly, Mail had notes functionality, but access to notes was limited to Mail. By spinning off these features into stand-alone apps with the same feature set as iOS apps already familiar to many iPhone and iPad users, Apple made it easier for Mac users to share up-to-date reminder and note data with their iOS devices. ...
