Chapter 4. Fighting the Data Deluge

No matter where we turn, we have incoming paper. Often it's mailed to us or arrives in the form of an email (which we might print) or a fax; it can be receipts we bring home from shopping or documents we acquire from insurance agents, investment advisors, realtors, decorators, or other consultants. Our kids bring it home from school, and it gets left on our doorstep (phone books and newspapers) or wedged into the screen (coupons or fliers from local businesses).
