The organizations covered in this book were chosen in a very deliberate manner, based on a set of specific and research-based criteria. In developing our approach, we focused on finding companies that have already recognized the need for dramatic changes. We hoped to find companies that were founded on the values of sustainability or that implemented strategic changes in response to global trends and thus repositioned themselves for a sustainable future.
