We want to acknowledge that this book was developed in a community of colleagues and students. The book benefited from feedback provided by colleagues of countless chapter reviews and by hundreds of students on earlier drafts of this textbook and our earlier management textbook that uses a similar two-prong approach to stimulate critical thinking. The text also was enriched by untold hallway talks, emails, discussions at conferences, and conversation with friends and acquaintances.
