During the last two decades, the term “leadership” has acquired an increasingly important place in the lexicon of management. At the time of this writing, courses in leadership are part of the core curriculum in the MBA programs at Harvard, Yale, and Wharton, to name just a few. A decade or two ago, formal education in leadership was reserved for military officers. MBAs were taught management.
