Dick's Practical Wisdom and Emphasis on “Process”

In the summer of 1957 I went to the National Training Labs (NTL) three-week human relations workshop. Doug had recommended this highly, no doubt based on observing in me some personal rigidities that would eventually undermine my ability to teach executives and do consulting. Dick was a regular attendee on the NTL staff, so I observed him first as a lecturer and later as a designer of labs and a co-trainer.
