A group of employees that worked in a small retail women's clothing store confronted the owner. “The air pollution in this store from cigarette smoking has a rotten effect,” said their spokeswoman. “We won't continue to work here if you allow smoking in the store. We want you to post no smoking signs on the entrance of the floor. If people have to smoke, they can go outside the mall.” The owner listened carefully to the group's ultimatum and agreed to the request. The next day the owner posted the no smoking signs and advised all the employees to follow the new rule. This issue never came up again and seemed to have been solved forever.
