Configure logging

WebLogic provides a standard way of how to deal with logging, but any administrator would adjust this to his/her needs. The following is an overview of how to configure logging in the most optimal way.

Configure logging using the Administration Console

When you want to configure logging, you can click on the name of a server instance whose logging you want to configure.

Click the Logging | General tab. The available options include:

  • Log file name: The name of the file that stores the current log messages. If you specify a relative pathname, it is interpreted as relative to the server's root directory. The default is under the directory<DOMAIN_HOME>/servers/<SERVER_NAME>/logs
