Automatically Logging Low Memory Conditions

You can configure WebLogic Server to automatically trap low memory conditions before they start hurting server performance. The server does this by sampling the free memory available during a time interval. If the average free memory drops below the average free memory from the previous interval, WebLogic Server logs a low memory warning message in the log. It also changes the health state of the server to WARNING. By default, the server logs a message whenever the average free memory drops to less than 5 percent of the free memory when you started the server. Follow these steps to configure how the server detects and logs low memory conditions:
