JavaMail APIs provide applications and modules access to the Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) and Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) mail servers on the Internet or within your own network. JavaMail APIs offer developers a generic interface for mail network servers, irrespective of the specific mail protocol used by the servers.
