CHAPTER 6Inter-component Communication

Composite applications and portals share a common root in many aspects. In this chapter we focus on the aspect that they both promote the building of a site or application on top of existing functions and services; they often do so by leveraging reusable components. When you are implementing such solutions, it is imperative that the building blocks are able to communicate with each other so they can be synchronized in the page.
