The PROMPT command is used to display a message for the user to see. See Chapter 4 for more information.

PRO[MPT] text_to_be_displayed

where:

PRO[MPT]: Is the command, which may be abbreviated to PRO.
text_to_be_displayed: Is whatever text you want displayed to the user. This should not be a quoted string. If you include quotes, they will appear in the output.
