PAU[SE] [pause_message]

The PAUSE command is used to tell SQL*Plus to display a message and pause. The user must then press the ENTER key in order to continue. For example:

PAUSE "Press ENTER to continue."

The pause_message is an optional message that you want displayed to the user.
