Chapter 7. Creating New Values with Numeric and Date Functions
Oracle has a variety of numeric functions that can be used in the SELECT statement. These functions are used to populate null-value columns, to compute values such as sine or cosine, or simply to round values. Table 7.1 contains a listing of the various numeric functions.
