The next chapter will introduce you to the Data Control Language (DCL), Data Manipulation Language (DML), and the data dictionary. The DCL is a set of commands used to grant privileges that enable a user to perform specific database tasks. The DML is used to populate the database. It contains commands to add, modify, and delete records. Finally, the data dictionary is a set of virtual tables that describe the various objects in the database.
