Monitoring process state

Now that we have examined how BAM is constructed, let us use this knowledge to construct some simple dashboards that track the state of a business process. We will create a simple version of an auction process. The process is shown as follows:

An auction is started, then bids are placed until the time runs out, at which point, the auction is completed. This is modeled in BPEL. This process has three distinct states. They are as follows:

  1. Started
  2. Bid received
  3. Completed
