Approvals Management, or AME, is a rules-based engine where both simple and complex approval rules can be created for approving many different transactions in Oracle, including expense reports, disputed items from iReceivables, and requisitions. Without AME, Oracle uses a strict hierarchical approval path, either based on an employee-supervisor hierarchy or a position hierarchy.
