Sizing the catalog
The size of a catalog database partially depends on how many target databases you need it to support. Here are the space requirements we recommend for a minimal catalog configuration:
System tablespace: 200 MB
Temporary tablespace: 20 MB
Rollback/undo tablespace: 20 MB
Tablespace for the catalog schema: 20 MB
Two groups with two members each of online redo logs sized at 2 MB
Depending on the number of targets and the frequency of backups, you will most likely require more space than these minimal settings.
