CHAPTER5Payables Setups

Payables is an integrated subledger that can be used to control the accounting transactions and remittances due to third-party suppliers and subsidiaries. These transactions are tightly controlled by Subledger Accounting to create financial transactions, and setups which control accuracy while maximizing cash outflows. Payments has been broken out in R12 to a separate module with its own controls, and will be covered in the Chapter 7. Setups in Payables are broken down into three different types: required, conditionally required (referring to setups that come seeded but can be modified or changed), and optional.
