Why Is JDeveloper an IDE for RAD?
As the title of this book states, we use Oracle’s JDeveloper as our working environment throughout the book. This is not to say that anything we’ll be talking about has to be done in that particular IDE; however, there are several reasons for choosing JDeveloper:
It is specifically designed as a complete, integrated, and productive environment for end-to-end development. Competing IDEs do not have the full range of tools that you are likely to need (at least, not without paying for additional plug-ins).
