BUFFER_POOL_RECYCLE

Synopsis

Value: integer | BUFFERS:integer | LRU_LATCHES:integer

Specifies the number of buffers (of size DB_BLOCK_BUFFER) to be set aside as a RECYCLE buffer pool and optionally specifies the number of LRU latches to be allocated to the RECYCLE buffer pool.

Beginning with Oracle9i, Oracle recommends that you use the DB_RECYCLE_CACHE_SIZE parameter instead of BUFFER_POOL_RECYCLE.

If this parameter is specified, then DB_RECYCLE_CACHE_SIZE may not be specified, or an error will result.
