Synopsis

Value: ENABLE | DEFER

Default: ENABLE

Dynamic: ALTER SYSTEM, ALTER SESSION

Specifies whether the corresponding LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_n is available. You can use this parameter only in conjunction with the LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_n parameter. Oracle recommends that if the Enterprise Edition of Oracle8i or Oracle9i is used, then you should set LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_n instead of LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST.
