Synopsis

Value: 2048-32768 at most, but may be less depending on operating system

Default: operating system dependent

Specifies the size in bytes of Oracle database blocks. The value for DB_BLOCK_SIZE when the database is created determines the size of the blocks, and at all other times the value must be set to the original valuemum value of the FREELISTS storage parameter for tables and indexes.

This value can be set only at database creation time and must not be changed afterward.
