Synopsis

Value: 1-number of CPUs

Default: CPU_COUNT / 2

Specifies the upper bound of the number of LRU latch sets. If the parameter is not set, Oracle calculates a value that is usually adequate. Increase this value only if misses are higher than 3% in V$LATCH. Obsolete with Oracle9i.
