Specifies whether DBWR and the direct loader will calculate a checksum and store it in the cache header of every data block when writing it to disk. Setting DB_BLOCK_CHECKSUM to TRUE can incur additional performance overhead. Set this parameter to TRUE only if advised to do so by Oracle Support.
