Synopsis

Value: TRUE | FALSE

Default: FALSE

Controls restrictions on SYSTEM privileges. If the value is TRUE, access to objects in the SYS schema is allowed (Oracle7 behavior). If the value is FALSE, SYSTEM privileges that allow access to objects in other schemas do not allow access to objects in the dictionary schema. Prior to Oracle9i, the default for this parameter was TRUE.
