UNDO_TABLESPACE

Synopsis

Value: name of an existing undo tablespace

Default: first available undo tablespace

Dynamic: ALTER SYSTEM

Specifies the undo tablespace to be used when the instance starts. If no undo tablespaces are specified or available, Oracle uses the SYSTEM rollback segment, which is not recommended. The instance will not start if a value is provided for this parameter and the database is in manual management mode. New with Oracle9i.
