Synopsis

Value: any valid date/time format mask

Default: derived

Dynamic: ALTER SESSION

Specifies the default timestamp with time zone format to use with the T_CHAR and TO_TIMESTAMP functions. You must enclose this value in single quotes. Default value is determined by NLS_TERRITORY. New with Oracle9i.
