Value: any valid datetime format mask

Default: derived

Dynamic: ALTER SESSION

Specifies the default timestamp format to use with the TO_CHAR and TO_TIMESTAMP_TZ functions. You must enclose this value in single quotes. Default value is determined by NLS_TERRITORY. New with Oracle9i.
