Synopsis

Value: valid service names

Default: value of DB_NAMEDB_DOMAIN

Dynamic: ALTER SYSTEM

Specifies one or more names for the database service to which this instance connects. If the service name is not qualified with a domain, the value of DB_DOMAIN is used if set; otherwise, the domain of the local database as defined in the data dictionary is used. This parameter must be set for every multiple instance. New with Oracle8i.
