Specifies whether a database link is required to have the same name as the database to which it connects. If FALSE, no check is performed. If TRUE, forces the use of consistent naming conventions for databases and links. If distributed processing is used, set GLOBAL_NAMES to TRUE to ensure a unique identifying name for each database in a networked environment.
