Data Manipulation Statements
Data Manipulation Language (DML) statements access and manipulate data stored in the Oracle database. You can use these statements to insert, update, delete, and read data, as well as to modify how Oracle operates when accessing data in the database. There are fewer DML statements than there are DDL (Data Definition Language) statements, but many do have a wide range of options and syntax choices, shown in the following syntax descriptions.
