HSV Event Log
The first and best place to start reviewing system messages is the HFM event log. There is a wealth of detail in this log. Each application server will have an HsvEventLog.log file under the \Hyperion\logs\hfm folder. There are no options for increasing or decreasing the events or level of detail captured in the HFM event logs. It is also important to note that the HFM web servers will have an HFM log. This can be useful to trace problems that may appear on the web tier but not on HFM, the application tier. The messages are stored in XML, so the HFM_ErrorLog table requires the reader to query and interpret the XML.
