Disclosure Management (DM) is a tool that integrates with the Office products to help you create, edit, and submit eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) documents for submission to a regulatory agency. This is another big change coming to the way companies report. The days of writing your SEC submission on hard copy are fading. It will need to be provided electronically through the SEC website.
Because DM integrates so well with HFM and Smart View, you can spend more time validating the information and less time gathering it. As data changes and the commentary updates, you can update and modify your tagging in real time. Figure 4-12 shows Disclosure Management tagging.
