VBScript for Oracle HFM
All the rules are written for HFM in VBScript, unless you are using the Calculation Manager tool. Then they are built graphically. At the time this book was being written, not many people have migrated to Calculation Manager, so it is likely that you will still need to know the basics to migrate, maintain, or build your rules. Calculation Manager has a script object that uses VBScript. Also, if you want to see the VBScript that Calculation Manager is generating, it is helpful to know. Other tools like Financial Data Quality Management (FDM) use VBScript as well, so this is important to know.
