Setting up the Oracle GoldenGate Monitor server

The Monitor server works by communicating with various GoldenGate Monitor Agents, which are installed on the server where the GoldenGate instances are running. The Agents are instructed by the Monitor server to collect data about various metrics. Once the Agent has collected this data, it then pushes that data to the GoldenGate Monitor server. The Oracle GoldenGate Monitor server then stores this data in its repository, which it maintains in a backend database. It also allows you to set up various alerts when the threshold for a metric breaks.
