CHAPTER 12Subledger Accounting

Subledger Accounting (SLA) is a new concept that is introduced in R12, sometimes referred to as the Financial Services Accounting Hub or Accounting Methods, which incorporates all the accounting rules, as well as the application of these rules, to subledger transactions. Setups for accounting can be found within the Subledger Accounting menus in each subledger and are module specific. They are utilized by the system when the Create Accounting process is run or when performing accounting inquires on transactions within a subledger or in the General Ledger.
