Authentication and Authorization Services
In this section, we will examine WebLogic Server’s security services and their architecture from the perspective of application authentication and authorization. Although important, a discussion of network security (that is, SSL and connection filtering) and credential and certificate management will be deferred to Chapter 9 of this book. The following diagram illustrates the main components of the WebLogic Server authentication and authorization security services that we will be discussing in detail in the following sections.
