With the components of the pricing application deployed, the next important task is to ensure that the environment created in the previous chapter is properly secured. In this chapter, we start by securing the WebLogic Server hosts at the operating system and file system levels. We then look at hardening the environment by enabling Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) on the different interfaces exposed by the pricing application’s components and enabling Single Sign-On for the authentication of all of the application’s web interfaces.
