Application users never complain about a good layout. Even the most technically effective application will not be well received unless the layout is functional.

Building page layouts refers to creating a grid of components for the placement of other components. The goal of building layouts is to arrange components in a logical, organized manner. This chapter is not a substitute for a formal user interface (UI) design book. However, the chapter provides several guidelines for building layouts and an explanation of each component involved.
