Classic business applications, such as those used for data entry, are notoriously boring in the visual sense. Part of the goal of user interface components such as the ADF Faces Rich Client (RC) library is to give users a more visually stimulating experience. Providing information to the user in the form of images, audio, and video can significantly increase the usefulness of an application, and at the very least, it provides context for the textual data included on a page.
