Oracle Virtual Private Database

Oracle Virtual Private Database (VPD), a feature of Oracle Database Enterprise Edition, is implemented with Oracle E-Business Suite for fine-grained access control over database data. What is meant by fine-grained access control? This is a method to restrict row access that is invisible to a user application and only allow certain rows that meet the business role. For example, user jabel can only see organization ebus11i and no other organization.
