Introduction

When I started writing this book, Oracle E-Business Suite security was becoming a hot subject, with more and more customers asking difficult questions. In more recent months, this topic has exploded into a complex and critical element of Oracle E-Business Suite implementations. The introduction of regulator procedures (such as Sarbanes-Oxley) has meant this area cannot be ignored anymore, and needs to be taken into consideration.

Writing this book has given me great insight into elements of the product that are not well understood, but can add great benefit to any implementation at little cost. I hope this will show in the content.
